Moving is hard on everyone. It just is.
The faster you find your people the easier it will be.
For the past five years and a few relocations, Good Friends has been a frequent request lifted up to God from me. Scribbled humbly and hopefully in many a TJ Maxx prayer journals with a freshly sharpened #2 Ticonderoga.
Also on the re-run list of requests is for our kids to maintain a Strong Bond into adulthood. During ridiculous arguments du jour I will Brady Bunch lecture them faster than they can say;
he/she started it.
Reminding them right out of the gate how special brothers and sisters are and always will be.
Please Lord, may they always go out of their way during the crazy busy of their lives to take care of one another. That they make arrangements to be with each other for the big events and the day to day ones as well. To simply enjoy being together.

Thank you Diane, Michael and David for making your little sister feel so loved and spoiling her just a bit.
The night before Delaney was to fly to Raleigh for a soccer tournament I already knew the above mentioned prayers had been answered. My awesome friend Erin agreed to be Delaney's soccer mom substitute extraordinaire, keeping her safe and on point in our absence to and from the packed few days of the tournament weekend. A momma can't ask for more important favor than that.
It takes a village people. Yes, an entire village.
Here is the great thing. HE hears ALL our prayers, big and little. The thoroughly thought out ones and the ones hurriedly uttered off the top of your head.
I'm not really sure how HE sorts these kinda things out but he does.
Delaney had never flown before and I asked her if she was nervous about any of it. She mentioned the weather had been so wonky lately with rain and high winds she was kinda worried about storms the days of travel. So we prayed as a family the night for blue skies, clear skies, skies so bare not even a wispy baby cloud could be seen.
Thank you Lord for answered prayers.
