365 RANDOM DAYS OF TEAM ZYBKO
DAY #113
APRIL 6TH, 2012
SOAP DRIVE FOR PARKING LOT MINISTRY
OF FLORENCE
My house has never smelled so good. Bags, boxes and pyramids of soap litter our Florida Room, creating a kinda
PO-purr-ee obstacle course.
I posted on Face Book just 6 days ago we were only a smidgen over half way to our goal of 1,000 bars.
528
I have to admit, I may have panicked, just a little.
God quickly lifts our spirits after checking the donations from the 11:00 Mass, school office and the bin in the back of the church. Delaney and I have trouble carrying the heavy plastic Walmart, Food Lion and Dollar General bags weighted down with interesting scents. We take several trips back and forth to the prison van muttering under our breaths and shaking our heads.
WOW!
I can't even believe how much was brought in, this is awesome.
Still in pajamas from a good night sleep we begin the fun task of counting it ALL up!
My fast thinking ten year old asks if this can be her math for the day.
My fast thinking ten year old asks if this can be her math for the day.
Oh sure, I respond with out much thought.
Two birds with one stone, I'm all over that these days.
We are a family of sniffers, we love to identify aromas of all sorts. The good, funky and different.
Not one bar of soap is counted without first under going a Zybko sniff test.
This one smells like a grandma.
This one smells like the kid at Co-op.
This one smells like a girly girl.
This one smells like the boys deodorant.
This one smells like hairspray.
This one smells like peaches.
This one smells like the man who sits in the back of church.
This one LA-LA obviously didn't like.
This soap with the middle missing gave us all a big laugh.
It's HOLY! It's HOLY! It's HOLY!
GET IT MOM?
IT'S HOLY!
BBAAAAHHHHAAAAAAAA
Oh geez, I should probably get them out more.
Anyway, drum roll please.....
with still one more round of checking the donation bins to go, we have a current total of
1,391!
Thank you to everyone who helped with this project.
Thank you for your time, talent and treasure
St. Anthony Church and School.
Thank you for allowing GOD to touch your heart for the people in need of Florence.
Now Delaney, let's review how to solve 15 times 50......
