This year we were fortunate enough to take two trips to the sand dunes in Kitty Hawk, NC during the 3 day Memorial Day weekend. The first go around the blustery wind nearly blew us off the top of the dunes. Sand in the eyes, ears, nose and throat. Kites took on a life of their own with little effort from the flyer's. The second sunset trip with less sand storm type gusts prompted some serious jumping, diving and sliding fun. Legs were overused and worn out by the time I was satisfied with the images on my camera screen. Thanks kids for your good attitudes and mountain climbing work out while I laid on the fine, silk like sand.
