Drexel's Lacrosse Debut
Day 305
March 2, 2014
Team Zybko
Between bites of chocolate chip pancakes and crispy bacon we reassured Drex we would be on the sidelines cheering for him. Without taking the time to swallow his food, he told us he would be out there winning for us. Classic Drexel, he has no idea what a real lacrosse game looks like, feels like, would be like or even how long the halves are. Neither did we, this is a new sport for our family. That didn't but stop him from being super confident, he would try his best, learn as he goes and have fun.
3 for 3 buddy, way to go!
8 and 9 year old boys chasing each other with sticks and a whole lotta gear jiggling around their miniature, enthusiastic bodies. Loosing the ball, fighting for the ball, running with the ball, dropping the ball and wrestling for a while on the ground for ownership of the ball. About an hour later, lots of cheers and super sweaty helmet heads it was done. I don't know what the score was, I really don't, I can't believe I don't but it's true. I was too torqued up with the newness and sportsmanship of it all.
Looking forward to what the season will bring.
Go Team Venom and #20.....GET BIT!
