CUFC 01 GOLD
Day 119-Year 3
Team Zybko
March 10, 2015
We couldn't claim a W when the final whistle blew but we could claim these girls are tough. Leaving the field with many new bruises, bumps and grass stains that bleach will need to fix in the next hot water soccer load. Some calls were questionable and some were slightly tainted with a tiny bit of payback. For me it was hard to watch. One of those intense games that emotions escalate far and beyond youth soccer should. I clicked my Nikon with two sets of white knuckles, expecting any minute for a player to go down with a torn ACL or broken bone.
Never the less, the camaraderie amongst the parents was a lovely break from real life. The weather was equally as nice, the sun was shining bright, casting our shadows onto the field, proving our dedication as the cheering section.
Final Score 2-0
