Stop and Make a Snow Angel

I try to be a in the moment mom, a relaxed mom, a mom who isn't run by a to-do list but instead enjoys the journey. Blah Blah Blah...they grow up so fast ya know. Some days I am better at this than others. Any given outside cold day you can pretty much throw it all out the window. I'm a wimpy cold weather mom, a buzz-kill mom, a mom who wants to get from point A (the van) to point B (inside) as quickly as my yoga pants will carry me.

This particular wintry-mix morning I suck it up, pull my scarf a little tighter while tucking my numb finger tips into the front pocket of my college sweatshirt. Letting the kids be kids, not rushing the fun, letting out the leash down the sidewalk as they search for fresh snow. The 15 minute, short journey was freezing yet rewarding. Breath in life and don't forget to stop and make a snow angel.
