SUBDIVISION TRIATHLON

First Annual Subdivision Triathlon
Team Zybko
Day 237 ~ Year 3
May 28, 2018

Team Red verses Team Blue (and slightly old school skins) in a made up short-ish distance Triathlon in our subdivision. Yep, I'm pretty positive our neighbors love us, or most of them were away for the weekend, not really sure about either actually.

Anyway, the idea was quick to come to fruition thanks for a big time need for an outside family activity and the positive attitudes from all parties involved. The real MVP goes to Monica. This was her first time meeting us and she managed to not skip a beat about any of the shenanigans or ask questions about the wheel chair leg of the race.

Which by the way, I certainly don't mean any disrespect. Without a pool for the tradition swim a substitution was made with what we had available at the house. You could ask why we have two wheelchairs ready to go in our living room and I would reply with the truest answer.

Some Goodwill shopping trips are better than others.
Best $22.82 I've ever spent. Period.

Observations Made
*This girl just ain't built to be a runner
(Severe duck footed-ness doesn't help speed issue)
*Competitiveness doesn't take a sabbath
*The siblings get gold stars for encouraging each other
*We have a big time lack of adequate current bike helmets
*My shoulders are still sore 4 days later from the wheelchair race
*Our stash of colorful bandanas always come in handy
*Togetherness makes my heart full
*Delilah is ready to have her cast off to resume normal activities
(she was relegated to stroller during bike leg)
*The boys were close to disqualification for horseplay
