Ski Show With a Small Town Feel
Day 96
August 5th, 2013
Team Zybko
So I totally admit I don't know the first thing about certain summer water sports. Mostly the kind involving ropes, ramps, sassy outfits and skis. Well, during our first transplanted week here in Charlotte we stumbled upon a ski show. What a pleasant surprise. Who knew this entire world of lake entertainment suitable for the entire family existed? We arrived late to a completely full, double parked parking lot and a very skinny entrance to the lakeside stage. No problem we snuck right in. Not snuck snuck, more like slipped right in, it didn't even cost any money. Bonus.
The talented participants of all ages received cheers for over an hour by the happy Tega Cay crowd. Some sat in golf carts some on blankets and some on soccer mom chairs as picnic dinners were eaten and a few couples even drank from plastic wine glasses. Clearly this was NOT their first ski show. It was in fact our first one but it won't be our last for sure. The three younger kids are all jacked up on skiing and would love to be signed up for the next session. Hhmmm after some practice I could probably work the Ski Mom thing.
