Happiest Place in Charlotte

Our REDNECK Disney
Day 126- Year 3
Team Zybko
April 1, 2015

We grabbed a paper park map even though we didn't really need one, it was too exciting not too. Carowinds was our go-to summer hang out last year, we know it like the back of our southern sun-screened hands.

While waiting in a short line for their season pass mug shots they marked out a plan in big non-indoor teenage voices. I was torqued up as well. The front seat of a 40 year wooden roller coaster makes me feel alive and giddy. My Kings Dominion childhood re-lived.

After watching the professionals build the new giga coaster through multiple trips up and down Interstate 77 we knew this would be on our list. Olivia and Drexel were the first guinea pigs. They survived and liked it! Delilah and I broke down and bought an $8 funnel cake as we killed time waiting on the big kids, miraculously eating only our 2/5 portion each.

Almost 6 hours went by quickly in the best of ways but that is all it took for the first day of the season. Our packed sandwiches in the van were calling and my plantar fasciitis was screaming Uncle.

Game on for 2015!
