Anything goes in the street version of Monkey in the Middle.
*Blocking the entire sidewalk, forcing the creation of a new traffic pattern
*Irritating innocent soccer parents with an occasional bop on the head with the soft ball...the soft ball not A soft ball.
*Socks with Chacos
*Talking smack about ones monkey-ness ability or lack thereof
*A grown soccer dad razing a teenager with a slight push
*Sibling body holds
*Recruiting new arrivals on a first come first take basis
*Distraction techniques..."Look! The shaved ice truck is open!"
Quite the entertainment as I nursed my coffee and scraped the last of my hardening oatmeal around my favorite ceramic cup.
Sometimes, no rules and limited parent involvement makes for the best game, until of course, someone gets their eye poked out.
