USEFUL LIFE LESSONS

 Laundry PARTY!
Day 203 ~ Year 3
Team Zybko
December 4th, 2016

Maybe it's just in our house, maybe not but I feel the need to confess, we occasional get a little behind in the laundry department. Some of you may be horrified and some of you might be slowly nodding your head right this second while mouthing the words....oh yea....she is my people.

I'm pretty sure both my mother-in-law and mother would wonder why I am voluntarily hanging my dirty laundry out on social media for all of the world to see. Well, like all things that happen in our lives, there are always an opportunity for a lesson to be taught.

1~ Wash your clothes,  dry your clothes,  fold your clothes and put your clothes away all on the same day. Yes, it is possible. I do know some moms like this. No, we aren't friends anymore.

(If #1 seems impossible proceed to read the rest of the list)

2~ Laundry parties are fun for the whole family!
Don't forget the really awesome, up-beat play list and iPhone timer. Hustle Russell, move it, move it, move it!
Throw some jacks, squats, crunches a few 32 count side salsas in-between every 10th item folded and you got yourself a mini-mini-mini work out. (You're welcome)

3~ Remind your child it's like an archaeological dig as they search the pile for a specific item on any given rushed school morning. If it's been more than a few days you wore it, dig deeper, time matters here people. Each layer general equals a day.

4~ The child in charge of socks will quickly realize the importance of sorting light loads from dark and making sure soccer socks are right side out prior to washing. Truly amazing the amount of grass that can survive a normal warm/cold, double rinse with an extra fast spin cycle.

5~ Dealing with others unmentionables teaches compassion. Comments are strictly prohibited.
