Mother Mary's Personalized Coffee Cup

Matthew 1:21-23
She will give birth to a son, and you are to name him Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins. Now all of this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the profit:

See, the virgin will become pregnant
and give birth to a son,
and they will name Him Immanuel. (God is with us)

While reading my Bible this morning I am easily distracted by the shiny lights on the Christmas tree. My hands hold tightly one my favorite mugs as I slowly sip my coffee. Happy to have a few minutes in the Word and time to re-group for the busy day ahead. I smile as I look around the freshly put together room from the night before. Christmas has finally arrived around these parts. Our family decorations aren't exactly glitzy or pricey. I have never plunked enough money into this area of my life to warrant an award of any kind. Nope, I am quite certain my schedule will not be interrupted with a call from Better Home and Gardens for a photo shoot. That's alright, I like it just the way it is. Although I have to admit the hodge podge of cheap and homemade items resembles more of an abandoned yard sale than intentional decorating. I take another sip and one more scan of the side table before re-finding my page in Romans. A dollar store nativity scene is proudly displayed next to my 15 year old porcelain Starbucks store got me to thinkin'. If I lived back in the day, the best wise gift I could have brought Mary would have been a good ole cup of strong black coffee and a personalized cup.

JESUS LOVES YOU!

Luke 2:10,11
But the angel said to them,

"Don't be afraid, for look, I proclaim to you the good news of great joy that will be for all the people: today a Savior, who is Messiah the Lord, was born for you in the city of David."

Matthew 2:9-11
And there it was-the star they had seen in the east! It led them until it came and stopped above the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed beyond measure. Entering the house, they saw the child with Mary His mother, and falling to their knees, they worshiped Him with gifts: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
