Family Fun and Fitness Class
Day #47
June 12th, 2013
Team Zybko

All family members are welcome, the more the merrier.
Moms, Dads, Aunts, Uncles, Grandmas......you get the idea.
Just come. Family, Fun and Fitness is my favorite new class on the Summer schedule at the gym. I look forward for Thursday afternoons to roll around, the people it brings and the authentic smiles on the hard working faces.
From ages 3 years all the way to.....well, they will never tell and it's not important anyway.
It's the quickest 30 minutes of my day and flies by super fast.
A fun way to break up a busy week with your kids.

The most wonderful part about the family class is the obvious one.....the family togetherness.
Something magical happens when all ages come together in a room or gym for the same purpose, to have fun. Don't get me wrong, lots of sweating happens too, now that part isn't quite as magical.
Moms racing against others moms while their children happily cheer from the end court solid black line.
GO MOM GO
YOU CAN DO IT

I had honestly forgotten,
#1. How slow I actually am in a shuttle run.
Crystal you are the fastest soccer mom in Flo-town
#2. Where my kids got their competitive nature.
I usual blame this on Baby Daddy
#3. That my favorite yoga short pants had a hole in the crotch.
Someone remind me to throw these out

So the class is hard to explain, it's not rocket science but it is different every week. Scooter tag, Bosu jumping, mock speed skating and relay races are some of the steady favorites.

Think school field day meets back yard fun meets PE class.

As a teacher and a mother I have enjoyed watching the kids improve each week. Strong push-ups to the proper form to execute the perfect squat to extra endurance during a round of mountain climbers.

A great way to spend some quality time working out with your kids, encouraging them, laughing and showing them fitness is all in a days work.
Every Thursday at McLeod Health and Fitness.
We also offer Family Zumba on Tuesdays.
Same time in Studio One
If you and your children are members simply check in at the front desk. If you aren't members yet you should think about finally joining. Third option, pay $5 a kid and meet me at 3:45pm for a round of scooter tag that your legs will feel the next day.
(Shout out to Kelly and her scootey scoot skillz, you must secretly practice at home in your spare time!)
